Join the Monday Pilates class. This mat Pilates class is taught by Occupational Therapist Kristi Kaschmitter. She is expert in proper biomechanics, posture, and treating chronic pain. The class will consist of only 4 to 6 people to allow the instructor to closely supervise each student and allow for individual modification of exercises to meet each student’s needs.
As a participant in Pilates at IMPACT you will experience many personal benefits such as gaining strength and confidence in the basics of Pilates and core strengthening. You will be eased into strength and conditioning work safely without increasing pain or symptoms. You will strengthen and tone muscles while uniting body and mind. Pilates complements your rehabilitation, cardiovascular, and weight training programs.
Each class is 1 hour long and will consist of learning basic principles of Pilates. Pilates is an exercise that works well for people of all ages. Although the class at IMPACT is geared for people with chronic pain, this class is also a great way to improve anyone’s overall fitness.
